Security at Bristol Airport has increased which means the security checks have increased in the time it takes to pass through. Bristol security now means security points can be found at security control, entry into the departure lounge and boarding gates.
All passengers are advised to check-in for their flight as soon as they arrive at the airport so they can check-in their luggage. Luggage must be kept on your person at all times and not left alone. |

Bristol Airport Baggage Security Information ... |
|

|
|
Entry to the departure lounge requires security screening of both the passenger themselves and their hand luggage.
Passengers pass through an x-ray machine without wearing their coats or jackets and placing metal items, such as keys, coins and belt buckles in provided trays.
As the passenger passes through x-ray so to does their luggage.
Hand searches are available, pregnant women may prefer this, although the x-ray machines are perfectly safe. Also, any travellers with a pacemaker should also request a hand search.
Occasionally passengers are randomly selected for hand searches - this is so Bristol security can make additional security checks.
The security at Bristol Airport also applies to the contents of baggage, so consider the restricted and prohibited items of hand luggage listed below before packing to avoid any belongings being confiscated.
